Union Station Tacoma, once the center of passenger operations for the NP and the GN, it's now a Federal Courthouse. Saved from the wrecking ball in the 1980's, it has since served as the inspiration for the new(er) Washington State History Museum next door. The museum features a top notch model railroad of Tacoma in the 1950's built by the PSMRE. www.psmre.org While the waiting room no longer hosts throngs of passengers, it does host a collection of art glass sculuptures by Dale Chihuly.
