One of only two DL&W steam survivors, #565 had quite an illustrious career. Built in September of 1908 by Alco for the DL&W, she was later sold in the mid-1960's for operation at the Black River & Western in NJ. At one point, she was moved to the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad and eventually made her way to Steamtown in 1985. Not much has changed since then but a dedicated group of volunteers took to the task of cosmetically restoring the engine which has found itself at home in the former DL&W complex in Scranton.
