Foggy East Broad Top: South Yard. With the October sun just beginning to burn through the morning fog, EBT#15 comes off the wye (foreground left) with her passenger consist and heads north toward the depot area, where she'll drop this train and pick up the Shade Gap Picnic Train....basically, 5 open tourist cars and a caboose. The 2011 Fall Spectacular featured #15 pulling just about every piece of rolling stock that the railroad owns during the course of each day. The afternoon runs featured an encore with the passenger train seen here, a trip with both the passenger and picnic trains tied together and a final run with a photo freight.
A look at the one-time coal-hauler, which ran as a tourist railroad for decades and finally ceased operations in 2011. The album includes photos from an October 2010 charter as well as images from the very last Fall Spectacular in October of 2011.
