Remarks & Notes |
On a beautiful, warm morning and coincidentally on the the 100th anniversary of the completion of the Key West Extension FEC 226 rolls across the famous but much smaller bridge in St. Augustine lead by the equally famous 714. FEC trains rolled through the Keys from 1912 until the hurricane in 1935. Weak traffic and the great depression prevented the FEC from rebuilding the line. Maryann's favorite locomotive. |
