Not long after being repainted back into the red & silver, a pair of FP45s leads a Santa Fe 589 train up the steep grade out of Mojave, CA, on Tehachapi's southeastern slope. The smoke here is coming from an SD45 in the consist, which appears to have an ailing turbocharger. The 589 typically carried both piggyback and container traffic and originated in Houston, TX.
