Racing the setting sun....literally!. Standing on the slippery rocks of the Sacandaga River, I can hear the distinctive whistle of David Kloke's beautiful Leviathan as she signals a stop at nearby Hadley Station. Another stop is not good news. Due to various administrative and operations-related delays, this passenger special on the Saratoga and North Creek Railway is running nearly 2 hours late and a small group of photographers waiting for the money-shot on the high bridge is literally watching the evening shadows creep across the gorge minute-by-minute. When we heard the 63 stop at Hadley, we thought we were pretty much done. Then, suddenly, we hear two quick toots. Thirty seconds later, there she is, flying across the bridge on a mission to make Corinth before dark. The lighting was perhaps not what it would have been a few minutes earlier, but we all went to our hotels happy this night.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
