The shot shows some basic information about this caboose and the class to which it belongs, I-17A. It now dwells just feet away from the CSX Capital Sub as a display unit, and formerly had been one of the five cabooses sitting adjacent to the same mainline but in Landsdowne MD.
Note to photographers: several thick black cables have been removed from the electronic image; in real life they hang very close to the top of the caboose and prevent any "pretty" capture, including standing as close as possible with a 10mm (16mm FF-equivalent) lens. Also, this is a "summer solstice" shot; only during late afternoon/sunset of mid-summer does this side of the caboose get direct sun.
