In one of the most surreal scenes I've ever witnessed, NS 203 flies southward, slicing through the thick fog that made the greater Gainesville area look like another planet for the early part of the morning. Torrential downpours drenched the area the night before, and when mixed with the hot summer sun, fog hung everywhere. At some points, visibility was down to 100' or less, but that didn't stop the trains from making track speed.
