Boaters on the Hudson River take in a summer like late September day as Amtrak's SB Adirondack slips over the Livingston Ave Bridge in the background. Flying the colors of the Dutch East India Company, a 1989 replica of Henry Hudson's ship, the Half Moon, sits anchored in the Hudson River just off shore from downtown Albany. In 1609 Henry Hudson sailed up to this area for the Dutch East India Company on the Half Moon, discovering the Hudson River in the process.
