An unused crossing. When this photo was taken this past June, this crossing at Ste-Sabine had not seen a train pass in about eleven months. The reason for that is a derailment about half a mile north of this crossing, which stranded MMA 8583 and its train just south of this crossing. The engine and the cars were moved two weeks afterwards. The line is currently out of service and is now owned by CMQ. MMA 8583 was part of an auction on August 5th of ex-MMA units that took place at Derby shops in Milo, Maine. I have not seen any info on the disposal of this particular unit.
