Union Pacific D.S. No. 1011 switches cars at Heber, Utah, on February 9, 2006. This vintage 1,000 h.p. locomotive was built by EMD in 1940, and served UP until 1977. The retired locomotive went to Utah’s “Heber Creeper” railroad, eventually serving today’s Heber Valley Railroad. In 2001, the locomotive was repainted in the as-delivered UP switcher paint scheme seen here.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
