The Central of New Jersey's 1894 Elizabeth station, once host to CNJ, Reading and B&O trains, saw its last train on August 6, 1978 on a now abandoned 4 track main. On a frigid night in January, in the midst of a Winter blizzard, the depot stands proud, lights ablaze, as if hopeful for one last train before nightfall.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
