Remarks & Notes
Miscellaneous locomotives await work at Union Pacific’s Omaha Shops in June 1981, including SD40-2 “snoot” No. 3312. This entire 100-acre shop complex, a major overhaul and maintenance facility for the railroad, was closed in 1988 and demolished soon after. You wouldn’t recognize this site today, as it is the location of CenturyLink Center Omaha arena and convention center.
