Although Glendive is primarily known to be an EMD shop, they still service GE's. The BNSF 4113, a GE C44-9W is in for a new traction motor. On 2/23/15 at Townsend, MT the unit suffered a locked traction motor and the pinion was cut. The ES44AC, BNSF 6204, was in for an air compressor issue that caused it to pump, but not supply any air.
Glendive can do almost any repair, whether small running repairs on the service tracks or an entire prime mover. The roundhouse has an incredibly friendly group of guys working, that take pride in what they do and where they work. Most are from the original BN days - like our great tour guide seen walking between the units with his blue flag in hand. Photo taken by BNSF employee with all proper PPE on, and permission granted.
