Celebrating 100 years of the first BMT Subway line from Manhattan to Coney Island in style. The NYC Transit Museum brought out four vintage trainsets for nostalgia rides at Brighton Beach on June 27 & 28. From left to right we have the BMT type-D triplex cars (1914-1969), the R-11 Prototype (1949-1976) leading "The Train of Many Metals", R1-9's cars (1930-1977) and the BMT Standards (1914-1969) which have not been operational in 35 years. Despite the crowds, it was certinally a great show for such a gloomy day.
