After spending Christmas in Los Angeles, I began my journey back to Valentine. Before leaving, I learned that a westbound manifest had a solid Canadian Pacific consist on it was going to pass by that day. I figured I wouldn't see it in daylight so I didn't take much interest in it. As I was crossing into Arizona, my friend let me know it was approaching Kingman. So, doing some quick math in my head, I figured I could beat it to Yucca. Beating it by about fifth-teen minutes, I was able to photograph my first CP leader.
