The Bath and Hammondsport was noted for keeping its two Alco S1's immaculate. When we visited, the only disappointment was that the crew had a short day, and we only had a few minutes to photograph number 5 before they put it into the enginehouse on the shores of Keuka Lake. Today, the original line between the B&H's namesake towns is intact but long out of service, and the railroad operated the ex-DL&W branch that was its interchange connection at Bath.
