Every two years the city of Durham hosts a Lumiere during which images are projected onto public buildings. The castle in Durham had a wonderful projection of children's folk tales with the Lambton worm bursting through the walls. The railway viaduct was used for the first time and had the startling sight of local people swarming up the walls and over the top. Here is an impression of the scene
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
