On the morning of the first day, May 7th, 2016, in Webster, VA, there was steam. And, behold, I saw what Roanoke had made, and it was very good. Norfolk & Western's J-class No. 611, built in 1950 no more then 15 miles away from this very spot, leads the "Powhatan Arrow" eastbound through Webster at 8:30 AM. This was the first of four excursions over the weekend of May 7th & 8th, 2016, featuring round trip excursions to both Lynchburg and Radford (Walton), VA.. No. 611 put on a spectacular show this morning, this being my first photograph, but there were more - evening came and then morning of the second day before I bid this engine farewell! See you in Manassas!
