Making its exit from Allentown yard, a 104-car westbound Conrail manifest passes the building that once housed the Allentown Plant of the W. T. Hahn Motor Truck Company. In 1929, Hahn merged with the Selden Motor Vehicle Company of Rochester, New York. The new venture, the Selden – Hahn Motor Truck Company, lasted until 1931, when the firm moved all operations to the plant in Hamburg, Pennsylvania, and was renamed Hahn Motors, Inc. Specializing in high-quality fire trucks and apparatus, Hahn Motors finally closed its doors in 1989.
