The CSX Troy local is returning WB to it's South Schenectady base with 11 cars that include a reefer and empty grain and salt hoppers. The local is crossing the swing portion of the Livingston Ave Bridge. Opened in 1902 by the New York Central, LAB was the northern of the two Albany Hudson River bridges. Prior to the closure of Albany Union Station and Penn Central's move to a Rensselaer station, this was also known as the freight bridge. However, today only one local freight crosses this bridge 5 days per week versus 6 passenger trains in each direction.
