Exiting Tunnel 4, one of five original bores in the Bay Area done by the Southern Pacific, CalTrains 272 races into Bayshore with one of the only F40PH-2C's on the roster (one of two I believe) showing most prominently its lack of nose headlights when compared to the standard F40PH's. Completed in 1908, Tunnel 4 stands as the longest bore on the San Francisco Peninsula at 3,547 feet long.

Motive Power Industries and GMD of Canada have rebuilt the EMD F40PH. These rebuild F40s are slowly fading, but some can be seen in California and Canada.
