PRR K-4s No. 1361 (2007)The Pennsylvania Railroad's 1918 Juniata Shop built K-4s No. 1361 captured here back in 2007 at Steamtown's former DL&W back shop. No. 1361 at this point had been here 11 years, undergoing an extensive but slow and now suspended restoration. Today, the locomotive is back in Altoona, PA in pieces awaiting an uncertain future.
Note the Boston & Maine No. 3713 locomotive to the left undergoing a concurrent restoration (still in progress as of 2017). Sorry about image quality - my Canon 20D was not a fan of the lighting within the DL&W shops, even at ISO 200 on a tripod. Added image to better tell the story of this locomotive. Click above in the "Locomotive Number" field ("PRR 1361") and arrange by "newest first" for an interesting timeline of this project.
