Standard gauge cogwheel 0-4-0 steamlocomotive "Caspar Honegger", built in 1877 by Engineer Niklaus Riggenbach in the machine works Aarau for the textile works of Caspar Honegger in Rüti (ZH). The today owner of this locomotive rebuilt it during 16 years to this operational unique gem. On the small freight car is sitting Niklaus Riggenbach, builder of the Arth Rigi Bahn from 1873 to 1875, as a carved wooden statue. He was born in 1817, 200 years ago. The short cogwheel train is on the Arth-Rigi-Bahn in Rigi Kulm, top of the mountain. Because the cogwheel of this locomotive is higher positioned then that of the Rigibahn, there is no intervention to the rack rail and the locomotive isn't able to run on this grade. The train was pushed up the mountain by the worldwide oldest electric cogwheel railcar BCFhe 2/3 # 6 from 1911 of the Rigibahnen.
