Rush hour is over and trains less important to the commuting public stand by SEPTA’s station in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. On the right is an MU train that has arrived from Philadelphia, and now is waiting to return as an off-peak late morning train. To the left, Conrail’s train that takes local cars to the outside world (I believe it was Abrams)waits to sprint down the electrified North Penn Branch to Wayne Junction, In about five years, the Stony Creek Branch to Norristown would be opened as a through route, eliminating the run to Wayne Junction.
