M Class comparison. Two of Norfolk & Western's numerous M Class 4-8-0s spend the cool autumn night outside an engine house in southern Virginia.
Thanks to a "pit crew" of about a dozen people, photo charter N&W "382" was transformed back into its regular N&W 475 appearance in about 15 minutes, and spotted on the next track over in the Strasburg yard for comparison shots at the end of the charter.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
