N&W #475's hooter echos against the buildings lining the Amtrak and former PRR main near Paradise, PA on October 23, 2017. This location is called Leaman Place junction (pronounced "LEMON" as in the fruit). The runaround track used by the Strasburg Rail Road to allow the locomotive to face forward heading west was once a third track of the PRR main. GG1s from approximately 1935-1985 roamed this line. Today Amtrak units pass at a breezy 50-60 mph. The white building you see in the background has, to my knowledge, been along this region of railroad since the 1890s-1900s.
