Car # 1 of the Stoos funicular railway, which opened in december 2017 and is the steepest in the world (110 % or 48 degrees), entering the uppermost tunnel, riding down. The four passenger compartments and the freight compartment (foreground, with red garbage bags) on the car rotate automatically, so they are level at all time. The cars run at speeds up to 10 metres per second (about 36 km/h or 22,4 miles per hour). The 1740 meter long line has 3 tunnels of 267 m, 121 m and 239 m. In the background 1898 meter high Gross Mythen mountain.
