With downtown Dyersville done, the L565 local heads west with the next stop in 3 miles at the Big River Ethanol Plant. Here the job crosses the North Fork of the Maquoketa River. The beautiful Basilica of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church is in the background. The cornerstone of the church was laid on June 3, 1888, and was done and dedicated on December 3, 1889. I am glad I was able to get it in a photo, it isn't easy!
Winter seems to be hanging around alot longer than people want, it is crazy to have snow like this in the middle of April!
