In 2018, the Blonay-Chamby Railroad/Museum is celebrating 50 years of operation. On this day, for photographers and filmers there was organised a "Mega Steam Festival" with 10 one meter gauge steamlocomotives. As a big surprise, this unique consist of streetcar steamlocomotives was showed on the line below the Chaulin museum. In front the G 2/4 # 7, built by SLM Winterthur for the Tramways de Mulhouse in 1882, not operational, but with driver ringing the bell, conductor and firemen, and smoke from the chimney! Second is operational G 2/2 # 4 "Rimini" of the Blonay-Chamby, built in 1900 by Krauss/Germany for the italian Ferrovie e Tramvie Padane, later running for the Rimini-Novalfeltria. Third locomotive is guest, streetcar steamlocomotive G 3/3 # 60 of the Tramways de la Sarthe/France, built in 1898 by Blanc-Misseron and now owned and operated by "Le Musée des Tramways à Vapeur et des chemins de fer Secondaires français (MTVS)" (museum of steam streetcars and branch lines).
