After being shutdown for a year, it is nice to say that CSX's 3rd busiest classification yard is back up, and running in full swing. The Radnor Yard was completed in 1954 by the L&N Railroad, and was consider as one of the largest yard on the system. To this day it's a massive classification yard with a total of 13+ receiving track that feed a 56 track classification bowl, that classify a total of 1,700 to 2,100+ cars a days over the hump, that really give Rice Yard out of Waycross a challenge at times. It would be hard to not include that Radnor Yard has a small Intermodal facility, a Rail manufacture plant, two vehicle-to-rail facility, diesel facility, and other of industry that is connect to this hub. No wonder that this is one of the most majestic, and busiest hub in Middle Tennessee for CSX.
