In the middle of the night on Feb 12 2019, a special Norfolk Southern move rolls by the 1849 Pennsylvania Railroad station at Lewistown Junction. The star of the show was ex-Nickle Plate Road Berkshire 757, being towed at the brisk pace of 25 mph from its longtime home in Strasburg, PA to its new (and original, both during its working career and intended for retirement display) home in Bellevue, OH. To learn more about the effort to relocate and cosmetically restore 757, or to make a donation, visit www.bringback757.org
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
