In the spring it's very rare that I have time to shoot anything in daylight with baseball everyday, and nothing ever running on Sundays. But, today I checked my phone and saw that 30 minutes ago there was an extra kicking around north of Palmer and south of Vernon. With Palmer being an hour north of me, I figured I could beat them up there. With 5 to 10 minutes to spare after hiking in, 603X crosses the Quaboag River into Palmer with a rare pair of GP38's leading 16 ballast cars. Not bad for a hunch that led to a long drive up 32 on a beautiful April afternoon.
