Remarks & Notes |
Three cylinder 4-6-2 Pacific express train locomotive 03 # 1010 (former Deutsche Reichsbahn, now DB Museum, based in Halle P) and 2-6-2 passenger train locomotive 23 # 1097 (former Deutsche Reichsbahn, now "IG 58 3047 Glauchau") are pulling a train from Dresden to Riesa in front of the Yenidze tabak factory. 03 # 1010 was built by Borsig in Hennigsdorf/Berlin in 1940 for the Deutsche Reichsbahn and can reach 140 km/h. 23 # 1097 (from 1970: 35 # 1097) was built in 1959 by Lokomotivbau Karl Marx (LKM) in Babelsberg for the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and can reach 110 km/h. The Yenidze was built in 1909 by architect Martin Hammitzsch as a cigarette factory for industrialist Hugo Zietz in form of a oriental mosque. The name comes from the tabak growing area in the north of today Greece. |
