The caption as written in 2016. Especially glad that I paid attention to the things over the years. Just a few miles to the east of the urban scene of Altoona, Pennsylvania, we are back in the rolling hills and lush greenery of Pennsylvania. At MP 225 in Tipton, PA we catch the Amtrak Pennsylvanian train 04T/42 under the signal bridge on the morning of 8/28/2016 with P42 145 (Phase III) leading. These former Pennsylvania Railroad structures are now an endangered species as they are slated for replacement, so get out there and capture them as soon as possible.
The electrified Northeast Corridor and Keystone Corridor have the traffic. The Pennsylvanian and Capitol Limited routed, which are all diesel, have the scenery.
