The endless winter. Amtrak 253 (P32AC-DM, 707 leading) crosses the Spuyten Duyvil Bridge from New York, New York to Bronx, New York at 15 minutes past sunset on Saturday, February 8, 2020. As each day gains more daylight, this weekend only train has finally departed in at least some semblance of non-darkness. But, when there is sunlight, the necklace lighting of the Whitestone Bridge in the background will no longer be present.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
