Montana Rail Link’s local out of Livingston heads up the short spur to R-Y Timber Inc. with four wood chip cars for the mill on September 25, 2007. This spur is the only surviving piece of railroad that was once the 52-mile Park Branch that Northern Pacific built to the town of Gardner, Montana, as a gateway to Yellowstone National Park. These two former Rio Grande EMD GP35s came to the MRL in this quasi-Missouri Pacific paint scheme of previous owner Omnitrax, and were later repainted in standard MRL colors.
