"Long Hood Forward through NRO"
Providence & Worcester's "CHFP" heads west through New Rochelle Station on Metro North's New Haven Line during the early morning hours of August 17th, 2020. Leading the train of 67 loaded stone cars is GE B39-8E 3905, which is positioned long hood forward due to issues with the train's previous leader. CHFP runs every other day bringing loaded stone cars from Cedar Hill Yard (CH) in North Haven, CT to Fresh Pond Yard (FP) in Queens, NY. FPCH brings up the empties.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
