Colorado’s Largest Forest Fires
Amtrak 6 running a little early is under slow orders over High Wind Warnings up and down the Front Range Friday the 17th of October. Here 6 moves along the fringes of the smoke plume dramatic and fast moving of Colorado’s largest ever recorded wildfires the Cameron Peak and Williams Fork fires. Boulder and the lions share of the foothills was engulfed in the apocalyptic red brown and black smoke plumes after midday. In this frame around 5 pm near Leyden the dark and ominous plume is constantly changing and moving in the high winds aloft, 40 minutes earlier this entire area was raining with ash. |
