Having racked up hundred's of thousands of miles pulling famed passenger trains between VA and OH throughout her career which began in 1950, J-class N&W No. 611 finds herself young at heart during N&W's transition to diesel. Too young to retire, No. 611 spends her final years on the company roster pulling branch line trains in central VA. In actuality, the "Queen of Steam" is on loan from the Virginia Museum of Transportation to the Strasburg Rail Road - still active, despite a few gaps, nearly 70 years later! 71 if you include her current 2021 return visit!
