Early Morning Delivery. It was still pre-dawn of Wednesday, July 7, 2021, when Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA NYCT Subway/New York Transit Museum Brooklyn Union Elevated car 1273 (Laconia, 1903) left the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal and came to lower Manhattan to participate in the "NYC Hometown Heroes Parade" on July 7, 2021. The car was loaded onto a Silk Road Transportation truck, which is seen negotiating the tight turn from West Street to Battery Place. The parade begins at 1100 EDT, will you be watching?
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
