Nickel Plate 2-8-4 No. 765 rounds a bend clearing a tunnel of trees just shy of Gouldsboro, PA, while en route from Steamtown, in Scranton, PA, to the Delaware Water Gap and return. This is one of a series of excursions named "The Phoebe Snow Special" which ran during Labor Day Weekend during Steamtown's Railfest in 2015. Passenger cars were provided compliments of Norfolk Southern.
The Van Swearingen Brothers standarized freight power for their railroads with nearly identical 2-8-4 Berkshires. Two of these engines are still in excursion service.
