Maintaining an Icon.
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) flat car F202 is seen on the business end of a herbicide train on the iconic curve south of Queensboro Plaza - the pilot is likely enjoying the breeze as the train shoves east! As can be inferred from it's description, this train was tasked with spraying herbicide along the line to kill any plants growing on the structure. I went up to Queens specifically looking for this train, as it included a piece of equipment rarely seen outside of yards: one of the TA's R66 tank cars. The Authority has three such cars and as far as I can guess their main purpose is for herbicide trains such as this.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
