Volunteers of the New Mexico Steam Locomotive & Railroad Historical Society, the group that for more than 20 years has worked to restore Santa Fe 2926 back to operating condition, have their cell phone cameras recording as the nearly 975,000 pound 4-8-4 struts up and down the track at "World Headquarters" with ease. Following the installation of insulation and sheet metal jacketing, there will be nothing to hold back the locomotive's 80-inch drivers from thundering down the mainline once again...something that hasn't been seen since the 1950's.
