It'll be a cold day in...Chattanooga??? if these units ever run again! That's what many people (myself included) thought about the two F7As that East Chattanooga Belt Railway train EC01 has just retrieved from the NS interchange at 23rd St. The two Lehigh Valley painted (but actually ex CNW) units sat derelict in Grenada, MS the past few years, victims of the Iowa Pacific collapse, with owner United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey seemingly left holding the bag. I do not know what led to their acquisition, but these units are to be restored and will operate at TVRM in the future. No details have been given on what paint scheme these units will wear given the disparate nature of their history and TVRM's mission/collection theme.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
