The First of the Last.
New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R32 car 3360 (Budd, 1964-1965) is seen on the head end of the train emerging from the tunnel at Parkside Ave, on the first run of the last day of the R32s impressive 58 year service life. 3360 and mate 3361 were decked out with blue doors and accents, decals on the bulkhead, and classic TA logos replicating their pre-GOH (General Overhaul) appearance for the event. The banner on the front is a nod to the one the cars bore on their first trip after being delivered, from Mott Haven Yard to Grand Central Terminal via what is now Metro-North; the only difference is the original said "First of 600."
