A CSX train prepares to leave the rail yard in Cayce, South Carolina with CSXT #5966 leading. This locomotive has a bit of an interesting history as evident by it's black paint. It was built in 1988 as Conrail General Electric #5068. When Conrail was slit up in 1999, it became Norfolk Southern Railway #4804. Sometime in early 2008, CSX and NS traded spme locomotives and she became CSXT 5966. Some years later, CSX sold her to the Maine Central and she became MEC #5966.
