On the morning July 16th, 2022, the Suffolk County Fire & EMS hosted a Train Emergency Response Drill, simulating a collision between a LIRR Train and an automobile with multiple injured patients. The drill featured LIRR Budd M3 pair 9801/9802, which sits on a panel of track at the Suffolk County Fire Academy in Yaphank, NY and a "pre-smashed" Honda Accord wedged into the plow. In this scene, we see multiple departments working together to free the trapped automobile driver. This involved used of the well-known "Jaws of Life" tool.
