The DP’s for CSX M500-16 (Nashville,TN-Chicago,IL) is waiting on the Yard track C-14 on the north-end of the C-Yard (Departure Yard) while the rest of the train is pulling high pass out on the drill track to make the move to pick up the DP on C-14. From there M500 pull high out of the drill track again and shove into Yard track C-16 to pick up the rest of its train before departing. Can you imagine how long it took this train to only make three moves without things falling apart? So, the first half of the train was stretched out almost a mile and a half where the head-end is sitting over Foster Ave. When the train is fully together, and the brake test is completed. M500 will creep toward “Chicken Pike” Elem Hill Pike on the Radnor Cutoff to pick up the conductor and it’s “off to the races” for Evansville, IN on the first segment of this freight journey.
