I caught the green American Locomotive Company (Alco) S4 shoving cars back to the CMC Steel. She is lettered for the Chattahoochie Locomotive company, CLCX 1110, and painted for StarPets. Before being sent to CMC Steel in Cayce, she worked at the Asheboro, North Carolina StarPets plant. I cannot yet find any history on the engine such as build date or an original owner. She appears to have been heavily modified and from how she soounded passing by, I assume she has a Cummins motor now. A few weeks after this shot was made, she was sent off to a new customer somewhere else.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
